I'm impressed with Daily so far. I tried to register a handful of domains with 123-reg earlier but as tends to happen the registration didn't seem to go through.

I signed up with daily and the same domains were registered seconds after the order was placed. Now I just need to make sure I don't get charged by 123-reg!

I'll test things out for a bit longer before considering moving all my domains though.

No worries, I didn't want to commercialise your plea for help! But I guess I ended up doing that anyway...

Keith - that's a good point and like you say is an improvement on past performance.

David - Sorry I've been with 1&1 before and didn't enjoy the experience. As you say the control panel is horrible and my experience of support wasn't much better.

Nick - Thanks for your input. Respect at least for not trying to disguise your plug ;-) I'll have a look at daily.

Ok. I am biased. Very biased. But give Daily.co.uk a try - it was set up by the same people who originally set up 123-reg, who then sold it to Pipex. Daily.co.uk has a control panel built in 2007 not 1997, and the telephones are answered in 4 rings. And its cheaper than 123-reg. But bear in mind I am biased because I work for 'em.

Nick Salter. A biased person, but not hiding it.

1&1 for me every time. Switching over means a 2 year contract for each domain with fees paid upfront and it can take around 24 - 48 hrs for the DNS settings to propagate.

I've used 1&1 for a while now and apart from their horrid accounting panel, they are the bees knees.

I hear where you are coming from Fraser, and if you find a viable alternative give me a shout.

Kudos to 123-reg though they did hold their hands up and admit to the outrage last weekend

Its not all that long ago we wouldn't have heard a dicky bird about the problems.
