a4uforum get2gether on the Dixie Queen

Monday morning and time to get back to proper work but what a great day Friday was. Up at 5am to get from Edinburgh to London before the boat left but it was well worth it. The only problem is that even though I met loads of people there were still lots more that I wanted to catch up with and missed!

Who did I meet?

• Zak from Prezzybox – great to see you as always. Thanks for the burger
• Patrick Hundt – great to meet you and sorry I don’t have any relevant sites for Spreadshirt yet! Some good photos on the blog
• Jess – said hello for 2 mins before we even got on the boat and then I never saw you again! See you in Vegas
• Paul Wright – great to meet you in the bar after the event but sorry you missed the boat!
• Adam – nice t-shirt Can’t believe you called it a day at 5pm, I suppose the 2am start is a decent excuse
• Nadeem – good to catch up as always and a nice report on the event.
• Graham from Buyagift – always a pleasure. Nice Hat
• Marcel – at long last a face to go with the name

At this point I realise it was a mistake to start a list as I’m only going to miss people out due to a poor memory so this isn’t a complete list of people I met and it doesn’t even start to include with the guys who I have known for many many years since the first of these events but catching up with all the old friends was the best part of all.

What did I learn?

• More people are listening to the podcast than I realised. woohoo!
• The caricature image in the header combined with my voice seemed to make a lot of people think I would be in my mid forties
• London City is good airport to fly to
• I need to buy a different cable before I can post my video footage
