Affiliate Network Innovation
A recent post about Amazon aStore on one level was quite trivial although it did give you an insight into some of the books that are on my shelf
However more than that it showed me what a lack of innovation there has been in the last year from our UK based affiliate networks compared to something like this.
The aStore is a total dream to create. It’s simple to pick products you want to include, organise them and then publish in a variety of attractive ways. Surely an affiliate network can produce something of the same quality? However it seems they can’t even seem to get to the point where datafeeds work in a reliable way and are kept up to date.
What’s been happening in 2006? What new innovation has been produced to help affiliates do their job? I can’t help thinking that there has been a lot of standing still this year and sooner or later it’s going to catch us up. Maybe I’m wrong though?
It’s not all bad though and a few different things have caught my eye including Shopster & POR’s new content units. I think Shopster is definitely worth a look as a potential solution to Google landing page issues by giving you a lot more control over the shopping cart.

Hi Fraser, one well known network has some pretty cool easy-to-build content units coming very soon. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
