It's good to see networks taking on new innovations. If the networks or merchants take up the newer system they'll be able to create advertising creative on the fly and cascade information on short term promotions quickly to affiliates. They'll also be able to produce creative to any size. The new widget is designed to be supplied directly by the merchant rather than through the network platform and supports different formats. Incorporating an alphanumeric security code, the widget is linked to the affiliate's network id for authentication and tracking.
