David Airey Competition
An online friend, David Airey is running a great competition to celebrate the 1st anniversary of his blog. He’s achieved a lot in one year considering his blog already boasts 1636 RSS subscribers. He’s also based in Edinburgh so we’ve been in touch for a while now but still never managed to meet! I’m sure we will soon but until then I’ll just keep reading the blog. Although I can put a website together, design really isn’t my strength so it’s an education to read about the process David goes through on a new logo design.
Since I’ve enjoyed the blog I thought it would be good to give something back so I donated one of the prizes of some podcasting kit. It actually looks like more advanced technology than I’m using to produce my podcast so hopefully someone will find it useful 
Another Edinburgh friend, Jamie at Terinea has also donated some USB storage.
The main prize is a business blog package including
- Logo design from David
- a new blog design from Nate Whitehill (not sure how this guy has enough hours in the day - I keep seeing his name everywhere at the moment
) - Marketing Plan from DoshDosh
- One year of hosting from I Love Typography
- Signed copy of Blogging Tips from Lorelle VanFossen
There are heaps of other prizes too so it’s worth a look. Overall the thing that I think fascinates me most is how an online community can be pulled together through an event like this. Just having a look at the list of prizes and you see many recognizable bloggers and can be reminded how the world is in fact a very small place.

I was overwhelmed at the response I received when asking for donations. Yours was no exception, and I’m sure the winner of your podcasting kit will be very happy.
I’m actually a little jealous of what people will be winning, because I’d love a few of the prizes myself!
Remember to keep me in mind should you come up short for players at the World of Football.

Cheers David - will be sure to give you a shout if we are short! We mostly play at Gracemount which isn’t as good a pitch as World of Football but is a better location for the guys that come along.

Thats a pretty great business blog package! I would love to get a blog designed by Nate Whitehill! He is an awesome blog designer.
