Great podcast as usual.

I think it helps a great deal if the merchants and networks can include url links in emails that already contain your aff id so they are really easy to copy and paste and save precious time.

A good podcast. This is certainly becoming a hot potato and I don’t think there will be a perfect solution for all parties. For every idea on solving issues there is a counter argument, certainly from a merchant perspective.

Nice to see you evolving. I work in the UK affiliate marketing team and you show a very significant character of a successful affiliate- continuous effort to keep up to date -> follow the pulse of the market.

Like your podcast/modcast very much, and it give me the freedom of learning more about affiliate marketing no matter where I am-as long as I have my ipod with me.

Great podcast, really enjoyed it. Will take in to account what was said about the Paid On Results Voucher System, but it really is just a tool and if Merchants don’t take part in keeping it updated (I have seen Merchants email codes and not use this and it’s a shame as they are missing out) then it’s really hard to give Affiliates what they want but it’s early days and we will keep trying, keep pushing it to Merchants.

Thanks for involving me with this Fraser, I have to admit I was totally bricking it before we started but the way you went about things soon put me at ease. Don’t know how it would have gone if it had been a solo podcast probably very disjointed I was lucky to have Chris and Joe to do most of the talking :)thanks guys.

Joe do have a listen you come across really well.

What Ray says about the time it takes to run a code site properly is true, Vouchers UK is more of a sideline for me rather than core business and as such doesn’t get as much time allocated to it as it would if it grew to be a significant earner.

For all those now keen to make a new code site I’d like to stress it takes a lot more than 4 hours a week and 30 minutes a day to maintain one, if you want all affiliate codes included

Thanks for the experience Fraser but I can’t bring myself to listen to it - I was kinda hoping the recording got lost forever. I’m certainly much happier with the written medium where I can think at about the same speed as I can type.

Fraser, many thanks for hosting the discussion, and I look forward to hearing others thoughts and questions that may rise out of it. As mentioned, it would be interesting to hear the networks side of the story as a possible future podcast.
