[...] The latest podcast from Affiliate Blog is with me! So, if you fancy hearing Fraser interviewing me about affiliate marketing, Loquax and other bits and bobs head over to Affiliate Blog and tune in. Considering I found the whole interview a bit nerve wracking and had the remnants of a cold (get those excuses in now lad) it hopefully comes across ok. [...]

Really enjoyed the interview, I had the pleasure of knowing Jason since I stated my first website back before he got grumpy
the good old days when CPM ruled and Affiliate Marketing had not got underway in the UK… A load has changed since then and he is testament to the fact you can have a career online in Affiliate Marketing if you are willing to work hard at it.

Another great podcast! I think this has been mentioned over on A4U but is there a podcast with Matt Wood in the pipeline? It would be really interesting to find out a bit about how the A4U forum got started etc.

Ian - I’ve arranged to speak to Matt a couple of times in the past but he always ends up being too busy. Maybe sometime in the future though!

Nice to see our (Positive Internet web hosting) mention here by Jason (found using google search!).
Please could I nicely ask that the external link to our web site on this page be fixed though. Currently it is pointing to hostroute.co.uk
Many thanks

Good interview but the quality of Jason’s voice was poor and hard to understand. Maybe this was the telephone or the recording equipment - not sure but it was hard to follow.
Look forward to the next one
Thanks Fraser

I’m just listening to Jason talking about having respect for their email database - not sending out more than once a week and hating Solus emails and totally agreeing with him. Our yardstick has always been the number of unsubscribes - when it’s higher than usual we know we screwed up.

Magic Button formed in May 1999 (that’s the best I can find from a Google search), not sure if that was before ukaffiliates.con though? MB were the first affiliate network I joined though, but dates are kinda foggy as it was all a long time ago, the pre-grumpy days!

“dealgroupmedia was founded in 1999″ but I started in Dec 99 so MB must have already been out and about..re magic Button, it was Matt from a4u that broke the story when they went bust, great title 04/26/01: MagicButton Goes ‘Tits Up’ http://www.revenews.com/archives/00000067.html
Jason, what I find interesting is that you were already so internet ready in 1998 (sos bad command of English, lol, makes u sound like a computer) As I said, great podcast & and as for grumpy, I hadn’t noticed
