Long Live The Buyagift Cookie

buyagift

Three and a half years after sending this visitor to Buyagift I’ve just made £7.76 :-)

The affiliate program is on Affiliate Window and I interviewed Graham Keen from Buyagift around the same time as I sent that first click ;-)

Incredible that the cookie managed to survive that long on someone’s PC!

Yeah I was amazed too – and pleased to make £7 that many other affiliate programs wouldn’t even have given me a chance at.

Awesome.

It wasn’t me, I think I’ve been through at least 3 PCs since 2006!

Dan – I think I’ve been through the same number too!

Just had another sale and this time the click was even further back 20/01/2006 that’s close to 4 years ago :-)

This seems to be good news, because it means that the efforts to promote some Affiliate products may produce resulst in the long run.

It is another reason to be persistent and not give up after some short term poor results.

Best Regards and Happy New Year

Congratulations! Buyagift cookies are my favourite kind :) I have had quite a few late sales come through, especially just before Christmas. A sale 10 months later is my record so far. (3 years is just brilliant news though!!).

I think it’s so nice to be rewarded for those early efforts – and very encouraging on poor sales days.

I cannot believe that this cookie lasted so long. Obviosuly people are not adept at clearing their cache!

Hi, I am relatively new to IM and the cookie thing is strange to me. It is good that it has lasted so long, but I am a bit cynical about my affiliate tracking.

I know its an old post but I’ve only just found it :) That is a crazy amount of time. I’ve had 2 laptops and 3 PC’s in that time. Probably reinstalled windows a handful of times on each and delete my cookies every now and again aswell.

I had a click/purchase which was on a 6 week old click which I thought was good!
