Survey Results are in!

Thanks to those who did take the time to complete my survey. It was very useful and has helped me work out a clear direction to move forward. Here is the first part of the results.

The first question was about how many podcasts people had listened to and so it was good to see a decent percentage that had listened to all 9 available podcasts at the time of the survey. I think some people might well find certain podcasts more relevant than others but it’s good that people are listening to most of them.

The second question dealt with the listeners role in the industry and there was a clear bias in favour of affiliates. This result combined with a couple of the comments in other questions has made it clear that people are keen to hear from other affiliates and not just the larger companies so I’m going to try and get back to speaking to some individual affiliates again.

Finally for this post I have included the results for the preferred length of the podcasts and it seems that 30 mins is a clear winner so I will continue to try and stick more or less to this time. In the other comments quite a few people were requesting a bit more news so I think it might be worth trying to include podcasts based around the news for the week even if they end up shorter. Maybe something like a 10 minute version of the Daily Searchcast. What do you think?

Other comments included people asking how to subscribe (it’s free!) and also looking for a way to play the podcasts in their browser so these options are both now available.
