Three Days of Events

buyatBig thanks to buy.at for the five a side football tournament last week. Even though most of the Affiliate Rovers didn’t know each other before the event it was a great day and we put in a decent performance before getting knocked out by the eventual winners. The gaffer has done a decent write up so thanks to him and a big thanks to the rest of the team. I’ve got a bunch of video footage that I’ll try and edit down soon and then publish on the blog.

onlinemarketingshowOn Tuesday next week (June 26th) I’m planning to take a quick day trip down to the Online Marketing Show. I wasn’t planning to go but then their PR company got in touch and invited me so the personal touch won through in the end! I’ll go along to the affiliate marketing related talks and hear what the networks have to say to those outside the industry.

beer 2.0Finally closer to home, on the 28th I’ll be attending Beer 2.0 with the crowd from the Edinburgh Coffee Morning. I’ve really been enjoying this meeting over the past few months where we assemble on a Friday morning at centotre, laptops in hand, for bacon rolls and discussion of all things internet and advertising. This time it’s an after work drinks format to allow a few others to attend. If you are local then do come along and meet some of the people who are keeping me up to date with web 2.0 every Friday – Mike, Ewan, Jamie, Johnnie & Andy to name just a few. All of their blogs are well worth a read, coming from different perspectives & all sharing something new.

Looking forward to seeing the video of your footballing skills. Hey one of our clients offices is in the Business Design Centre. There is good Mexican restaurant around the corner.

Also Mike’s renamed it br.2.0, a flickr/delicious combination. Did you see our discussion last week about Fraser (yourself) and Frasr (Whitespace). See you on the 28th or on Friday.

Cheers Jamie - I’ll look out for the Mexican restaurant :)

It’s a shame I won’t make it along tomorrow night but I should be at centotre on Friday morning and then along for a beer next Thursday. I’ve just been catching up on the various beer, br, fraser, frasr discussions now!

Fraser great to see you playing the real football ;) I never liked it called “soccer” anyway. It should become a part of Affiliate Summit. :)

Thanks Vlad - good to know you are a football fan too! I’ve never liked it being called soccer either :)
