VAT & Accounts Day

submit to affiliates4u

This day comes round once every quarter and I hate it! :( Here are my current complaints – bah humbug!

  • Why do DGM not provide one payment report that matches to the amount paid in – this one is due to hardly earning anything with them recently so a few months are rolled into one payment but then I have to match the monthly invoices to the total paid in to my account
  • Why does Adcenter insist on me installing Adobe Acrobat before it will even show me an invoice when I already have a perfectly good PDF reader installed?
  • Why do CJ pay me in £ direct to my bank account but then provide a UK VAT Invoice in $?

Any more payment complaints?

I’ll get into the Christmas spirit once I finish this!

I think my Affiliate Window invoices are always a penny out? Or is it when I add vat to their non vat amount! Anyways, whatever they do it messes up my accounts.

My CJ invoices are in GBP and are paid in GBP too.

In Quickbooks you can solve the odd penny mismatch by toggling the amount includes excludes VAT to solve the rounding error.

Glad it’s not just me that hates doing the accounts – Mine went off at the weekend. I’m seriously considering changing our year end so that I don’t have to do a quarterly return in December

David – My CJ account was opened back in the days when USD was the only option.

Joe – thanks for the tip. I use quickbooks so I’ll give that a try.

John – seems like you were ahead of the game even though you didn’t enjoy having to get it done!

Hi Fraser,

I completely take your comments on board regarding the dgm payment system when payments roll over. We are currently looking to change this for the New Year to provide clarity over what payments have been made and for what month.

In the meantime, if there is anything we can provide you / do for you that will help please drop me a line.

Thanks,
Helen

Thanks for taking the time to comment Helen and it’s good to hear that it’s something you are working on already :)
